Supervision Set 1:
Title: Meeting Young People where they are at and not where we think they should be
When: Monday 26th February 10:30am AEST (Brisbane) and Friday 15th March 10:30am AEST (Brisbane)
Cost: GANZ Members: $35 per session, Non-GANZ Members: $50 per session
Description: In these two group supervision sessions, we will be thinking about young people’s adversity, trauma symptoms in children and adolescents, and the vulnerability in our systems that hold them and their care. So, what is required to navigate such a complex system? Individuals attending these sessions will be invited to bring their own case examples to receive clinical group support guided by Mark’s practice. This will be a space to receive and give support in a field that can often be devoid of both internal and external supports.
Warning: some of this material may include sensitive case examples of child abuse, sexual assault and system failures.
About your Supervisor: Mark Colletti is a Gestalt Psychotherapist, EMDR Practitioner and founder of Seeking Minds Australia. Mark has been working in the social welfare sector for over a decade and has worked in Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities with a specialty and focus on child and adolescent mental health. Mark has significant expertise in working with symptoms of trauma, sexual abuse, family violence survivors and the most marginalised populations in the out-of-home care sector. He comes to us with significant experience in organisational consulting, running reflective practice sessions and group supervision.
